Would access to a local radiologist aid a diagnosis?
Types of ultrasound
Dr Frank Gollub, MD AFRCSI FRCR, is a Consultant Clinical Radiologist at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust and has a special interest in hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal and uro-radiology. He offers a range of private ultrasound examinations at Richmond Practice, often at short notice, but only with a referral from another doctor. The referring doctor will need to fill out an ultrasound request form that they can access online.
Depending on the examination needed patients may have to prepare by fasting, but our staff will give you clear instructions when they make your appointment.
Every effort is made to make you feel comfortable during the examination. You will be given a gown to wear during the examination, for example. Dr Gollub will send a report of the examination to the referring doctor within 24 hours.
- General abdominal scans including liver, gall bladder, pancreas, spleen and renal tract
- Neck and thyroid ultrasound scans
- Scrotal and testicular ultrasound scans

To book an appointment, you will require a referral by your GP, which can be obtained from your NHS GP or a Richmond Practice doctor. To get an appointment patients can call on 020 8940 5009 or book online.
